PIECES OF EIGHT

 

 

  A friend of mine recently brought one of your units to a site that I am working on in South-Western Oklahoma.  He was visiting from Missouri and felt I would be interested in the unit. I had been working the sites for weeks, but never found anything but signs.  I am not sure what model he had, but using your machine  we found 6 pieces of eight on a quarter acre in a square mile area.  It appears as if it was an old camp site.  They were dated in the mid to late 1600s.  After a few hours my friend had to head back home.  We did not have time to continue searching but when we left, the machine was still spinning.  Don't know when my friend can come back down, but I know I will have to have that machine to find the rest.  Unfortunately, I can't afford to buy the machine.  It is way out of my budget.  Hopefully, he can make it back soon and I can send more success stories.

Hello ,

My family has recently acquired some property with a very old home that's falling apart.  I took my Examiner to the property to check around and see if I could find anything.    I got a few hits and the first two turned out to be micro gold I guess as I found nothing.  The third hit however, was a nice one.   The Examiner led me to a fence post so I pulled up the post and didn't have to dig more than a foot deep.

I found an old glass jar full of Morgan silver dollars, Peace Silver dollars, Mercury dimes, Seated Liberty dimes, Buffalo nickels and Indian Head pennies.

 I love this Examiner and thought I would share my find with you.

"the examiner works as you say it does!!! people just have to take time to play with it and get the feel for it, it's a very versatile piece of equipment and well worth having in your arsenal as a prospector/cache hunter, i tested on 3 different sites 1 on private property, 1 on a cache in a small hidden cave, which had collapsed about 10-11ft back, and the third site was an outlaw cache that is now covered by a man-made lake. i triangulated at all three sites and did multiple sweeps at multiple areas the examiner ALWAYS hit the same spots, i'am a skeptic about most of the equipment out there but i tested and tested and tested the examiner and it works as rangertell said it would! i even took some gold necklaces and went out and tested on those to make sure i wasn't causing some subconcious influence such as micro muscle movements as some people have suggested when it comes to dowsing, but this is NOT dowsing, this is working on electro-magnetic fields, it really does work!!! finally somebody has come up with an affordable tool that, if takeing the time to learn how to use it, REALLY WORKS, you guys did a wonderful job!

BRITISH PAST UNEARTHED

Just a few lines to let you know how my tests have been going. I received my Examiner on Thursday 10th August, two weeks ago. Done some tests in my garden with gold ring, copper coins, etc under bricks, with lots of old iron. Each time it completely ignored the iron trash. I was very impressed with the results. The Examiner is a real breakthrough , a really fantastic long range locator. I found an old 15 century jetton, my first find to date. My partner could not detect it at first with his detector but after digging out about 6ins of soil we found it at about 12ins. I had tuned to a sample and set to silver. So far its amazed me. I am sure that the good finds will soon be coming.

AUSTRALIAN STUDENTS USE EXAMINER TO EFFECT

We picked up a number of targets in the same location and a couple of targets outside that area. Most targets outside Examiner's search area turned out to be ferrous materials. All the targets (at least all the targets we dug out by now) at that location proved to be non-ferrous materials but none of them gold. We could not tell for sure what kind of metals two targets are made of or their purpose. At our best guess one target looks like a part of silver jewellery, another the deepest one found at 8" reminds one of a piece of solder cutlery. Two targets close to the surface were clip-buttons. We have not finished exploring the place.

Most gold rings etc are composed of gold and silver. Some silver teaspoons have gold in them also. Your silver is more than likely of this kind. Ranger 25-05-05

Today we proceeded with our tests. We thought of decreasing "Her Majesty Chance" in getting the right target. Therefore, we used three empty containers and one with gold. Out of 10 tests 8 were successful (Stan scored 100%). We calculated probability of these results being achieved by chance. Well, it is pretty low - around 0.04% by binomial distribution method: n = 10, p of success = 0.25. Then we applied the method you suggested to rule out the unwanted weights. The result result is very encouraging: five tries and 100% of accuracy (chance factor is 0.09%). These were all surface targets.

Yes, we located those with the help of the Examiner. I took the bronze coin to the dealer to identify -he told me it is of series 1880 but he could not tell the exact date. The silver locket is a bit damaged at one corner and water washed out the picture that was painted on its glass. But we are determined to restore it to its full glory and replace the picture with the opal. The gold and silver are peeling off the buttons we detected on the same spot, however, it makes them look more authentic.This Sunday we headed to Central goldfields for a short while just to see if a particular place was worth detecting.The place was completely untouched by detectorists. As you know it is both good and bad news because of plentiful bullets, bullet cases and rusties. But my first find looked promising - a waterworn 4 grammer but not of gold but of bright gray substance. Seems I found platinum among round quartz pebbles at a considerable depth. Next to it rested almost on the surface a beautiful silver 6 pence coin of 1941 and a bit aside a copper half penny of 1866, greenish but all the images and inscriptions are intact. Up the slope we dug out a bright white flat nuggety metal that we cannot bend.What could it be?

We took Examiner with us, and it pointed to an abandoned mine. Very logical but as an area is highly rubbished, and we were short of time, we put off an exploration till the next time. Though in the process we found a half penny coin c.1950. Then he dug out an old Queen Victoria Crown badge from a military cap and Victorian 3 pence coin c. 1900. By the way a cross that I found with a help of Examiner is likely to be a Victoria Cross belt buckle or shoulder buckle.

Art finds the signal booster a must. Here is how he found the treasure.

"Since receiving the RT Body Booster I will not use my rods without it in my pocket. I find that using it when Dowsing, with my LRL or my MFD I get a better lock when I come to the signal line. When tracing the signal line I no longer have to walk a “S” pattern .I can follow the signal line with the rods in an inverted V with little or no rod drift. When I get to the target my lock ups are stronger than they ever were. This is a great tool that everyone who uses rods should have.

 

As for the treasure find. I feel great about helping a family clear up a 135 year old mystery. I think when they check what the gold and silver is worth it will be a lot more than $75. I had three signal lines at this spot. I always put the booster in my pocket with the front of the unit facing out. I turn the dial all the way to the right. I went to the first signal and using one rod and turned the dial left until the rod opened to 45 degrees. I knew I had a lot of gold by how far I turned the dial down.  "I find 100% accuracy with Examiner on water, simply because it really did best with dowsing for which am  an expert.  What I did  is  to enter the freq. of water in  the Examiner, then I place the machine  on  the ground, then I used the L ROD  to dowse while the machine was in ON position.  As per observations, it  WAS THE EXAMINER THAT WAS IN COMMAND TO THAT OF MY L - ROD.   Hence,  I believe that the EXAMINER UNIT has very strong signal/power over that of the mere dowsing scheme.

Thus, I even got a 100% accuracy in detecting the depth and water thickness/volume of water underneath, which has given me a zero percent error or discrepancy of all my drilled sites.  Thanks to the RANGERTELL TG technologies.

I look forward of sending me your new water frequencies via email.  It would be of great help to all my endeavors.
Tomorrow I will order your  Gold Transponder Shades.

SIGNS FOUND WHERE EXAMINER DETECTED GOLD

Good day and hello. Remember me, xxxxx from Philippines. Found one treasure site underneath a mango tree somewhere in Mindanao. The story goes this way: Acc to my cousin there were three japs went to their place and looking for a mango tree and ask some bystanders there, but they didnt tell the exact location so the three japs left. My cousin told me the details and we went to that place stealthily to avoid the landowner's knowledge. My cousin knows already which mango tree is the oldest. He said to me, from this place use your rangertell, so i located the site in less than 5 minutes. After few months I met a friend who knows the japs treasure signs and i took him there, and less than a minute he showed us the signs engraved on the mango tree which we dont have any idea about it. Basing the statement of the japs interpreter, we are very sure of the area.

I have a piece of quartz float that has gold in it laying on my computer desk. I entered the gold frequency but had forgotten all about the float. The next think I know, this thing (antenna) is up against my arm. I needed to turn my chair as my body was blocking the path. I turn and the next thing I know it is pointing right at the float. I have Pam come in and move it and it follows wherever she puts the quartz. Sent chills down my spine. Wow!

Have already found micro gold in a rock the size of my fist . Smashed it up and there it was. Also got a good lock just across the road. It tells me its 3 feet down and over 7 grams. Going to dig it up in the dark tonight.

First time out with the Examiner

Equipment used and Equipment Set-up:
Sample of 3 gold coins (approx. weight 3 ounces).

1. Cleared the calculator, then set the Examiner's Calculator to xxxxx (xxx)
2. Set the front Sensitivity/Gain Potentiometer to maximum.
3. Extended out the antenna to just about maximum length (90 to 95% extended).

Test Set-Up: Had my son hide the gold somewhere on the ground on a 25 foot radius 360 degree circle. Coins were located somewhere on the 360 degree circle. Afterward I came out to find the gold, without knowing the coins location. Standing in the middle of the circle, with right hand level and steady on the Examiner handle, then standing in the center of the circle (walking around the center point) watching for the antenna to draw off centerafter about four or five complete circles in both directionsI had my chosen angular spot? where I believed the antenna was tracking to and where the gold was hid. Here are my results after three times and why I stopped after three times.

1st test: detected direction was approx.13 degrees off to the left side of the gold's placement. Results: Extremely encouraging due to the fact there's a 360 degree circle and I could be off as much as 180 degrees (half-circle either direction). That's about (13/180) or about 93% correctness in direction.

2nd test: again, the same repeat, I found detected direction was off 13 degrees to the left side of the gold's actual placement. Results: Again 93% correct direction. Wondering if the 13 degrees (to the left) is consistent? Was I doing something wrong in not getting to the exact angular location?

3rd test: I took more time with this test and really let the antenna swing out fully to find its own equilibrium point. I could see what was happening with the antenna started swaying-triggering to a point (13 deg from final) but found the final resting spot? dead equilibrium point just to left of that. I felt certain I located the gold accurately on this third test. Results: Positive hit the pointed location of the gold was dead-onor within a negligible 1 degree (99.5% direction correctness).

Conclusions: I believe anything over 22.5 degrees (which equates to 16 directional divisions in a circle) or 87.5% correctness and you might start your journey towards the gold in the wrong direction. While my first two tries were better than 22.5 degrees situated at an encouraging at a consistent 93% accuracy, the third and final test at over 99.5% accuracy made a believer out of me. I stop after the third test being confident all three directional test results were real. The Examiner is a powerful tool in the directional finding of the gold's location in repeatable fashion.

Ok...to make a long-story short....I found, through diligent trials, I prefer having the antenna out full, the best number for me is "xxxxx (xxx)", with the sensitivity set on "6". [below 4 is too little, 8 and above is too much]...the detector is optimized for me in this fashion.

In this fashion...it's now child's play finding the gold anywhere my son hides it. I'm now at 100% accuracy anywhere he hides the gold on a circular line. So you won't be seeing any more data coming your way...I am done testing.

EXAMINER FINDS JEWELLERY STORE

Howdy,

Thanks for all the tips and again, thanks for making a great product. I went into the city today to a store that sells gold/silver coins and ingots and 100 ounce silver bars. I asked the owner if I could try out my examiner in there and she gave me the ok. I put it on the silver frequency and it was swinging back and forth all over the store. I set it to 100 ounces (3100 grams) and it ignored everything else and singled out the 100 ounce silver bars. I was so happy. I walked to the bar and it spun in circles over the bar just like in your video. I set it to gold and guess what....same reaction! The examiner is truly amazing!!! Tomorrow I'm heading out to track down some signal lines I found and I'll let you know my results...hopefully with some pictures of uncovered treasures!

PHILIPPINES TREASURE SITES PROVE EXAMINER BEST

RT,

I went back to Japan and I've done all my research in Philippines on my 8 day vacation. I checked and located all the prospect treasure sites that are on the maps and the Examiner T-G located and pinpointed them with 100 % accuracy. I worked with samples every site and know the Examiner works in Philippines geological conditions. I always used MFD mode to identify the directions of the targets in all sites that I researched and the depth and shape worked successfully. All the sites that I located are in flat area only. One site is in the hill where the target is buried in bedrock.

The first thing I did was go to the sites that were detected 2-3 years ago with my German partner using his two new LRLs. I set the MFD mode each time but those sites that are in the maps that my German partner detected missed the true target . I think those LRLs only pinpoint the target reflection because the Examiner T-G pinpointed at more or less 30 meter from the more expensive LRLs located spot. As we checked the maps we realized the Examiner had pinpointed them accurately with no mistake.

I located 10 spots of treasure target using my Examiner and it gave me successful and excellent results re the targets. The Examiner pointed directly to the true target. I didn't encounter any target ring (which causes inaccuracy) and I always eliminated micro gold by pressing the xxxxx key. Comparing it to the two LRLs used before in those sites, they always got lock on the target reflection and depth ring of target that only mimic the true target. The Examiner got lock only when I passed the target, and when I walked passed the NS-EW line. It only locked on 90 degrees and I always got the best and sharpest lock. Climatic conditions during my research were wet and rainy with no sunshine at all.

I checked all other sites that we detected before i.e. less than ten spots using the LRLs and the Examiner T-G gave no response lock on any of these sites, I used all gold frequencies on those sites and found there was nothing there. The signals were only false that those LRLs located. We spent a lot of money drilling those sites only to find there was nothing.

Another site I located is in the flat area. Soil condition is sandy loam. This site is not in our map. My friend's niece, husband and father dug a trash hole 5 ft deep and found 1 treasure chest box/rectangular shape small and tied up with chain and padlock. He didn't open that box but buried it again in the same hole. After 30 or more years we searched for that box using the two LRLs again. They located the depth ring and target reflections with 2-3 meters away from where the Examiner pointed. The Examiner locator gave the exact 5 feet depth measurement with a sharp lock. When I entered 6 and 7 feet it gave me no lock, So Examiner is so accurate I prepared an excavation contract and will be bound for retrieval on October this year. I will give you all recovery result when that time comes. I ran out of time when I checked that site as the next day was my departure day . I wasn't able to operate this time.

First of all I would like to thank Mr. Anthony and RTL&ES for the excellent technical support, five stars!!! I used the Examiner T-G Deluxe during my short trip to Europe. I checked for ground water on a friend's property. This area is very difficult for ground water. The Examiner indicated "interest" at one point, and within 3 minutes I had the exact point for drilling. I tested for depth and the Examiner indicated that the ground water was at 198 feet. After 2 months my friend drilled at the point the Examiner indicated, and water was found at exactly 198 feet.

One day while i was in the PHilippines, my friend invited me to see a japanese guy stayed in my place,he is using a selfmade locator probably dowsing 2 antenna rod.i ask him for a challenge to see how accurate his locator,i told him the protocol,he will going to locate or find the gold sample that i will going to hide somewhere around his house.i did hide the gold sample by just throwing away about 50ft from his location,he started to find the gold sample,it took him almost an hour he couldnt able to locate even the direction,he move near the gold sample at about 20 ft but still not able to locate it.i told him stop looking for the sample,his locator never work at all.so its my turn now,i ask him to hide the sample,then i set the tuned examiner to MFD mode to locate the direction of the target,ive got the signal line then i tracked the line and it leads me to the gold sample he hide.not even 5 minutes i located the sample,he said my machine is bad and worst,i told him i didnt do any form of cheating,there were many person watching,more than 10 person were watching the challenge,the examiner will not put you to shame or dissappointment as far as gold sample is concern to locate.i always doing this whenever i go the the site if i encounter person like the land owner just to convince them that i can able to locate my target in searching in his property.

I am writing this letter in relation to the Examiner w/ MFD which I recently bought from your esteemed organization for the purpose of tracking and locating numerous minor and major Japanese treasure burial sites in the Philippines and particularly here in the island of Borneo. Those war booties were looted from 12 countries during World War 11 in the Pacific and secretly buried in deep pits, caves and tunnels towards the end of the war in 1943 - 45 with the intention of retrieving them back quietly at a later stage.

I am happy to inform that in every area where markers indicate, I am able to locate with confidence the target positions using my Examiner. It is very easy to use and a versatile tool which makes reconnaissance and locating faster especially in difficult environment conditions. By far, it is also a discreet tool in some areas to avoid suspicion while at work.

I think many decades ago having this kind of equipment was next to impossible. Thank you very much indeed for your innovation of such valuable tool available for my use.

Dear Sir,

I have the examiner since last year and I have spent hundreds of hours practicing in the field. I have asked friends to bury different objects made of gold and I always find the exact spot, depth and weight (down to  1or 2 grams). I'm amazed at how accurate the distance, depth and weight functions are: If you go 2-3 grams over the weight of the target you lose response completely. Experimenting with the depth parameters I found out that even using xxx1.2or xxx1.3 etc. it works fine, so when you are digging you know you are on the right spot.

I have tracked down and dug up many targets in depths 1to 2feet that were giving weights from 100grams to 6000grams (always using xxx over the target) at the gold frequency xxxxx..

Holding a piece of gold in the same hand with the examiner eliminates some of the small unwanted targets.

One more thing; Two months ago I picked up a very strong signal 30kilometers away, using my GPS and the Examiner I went to the approximate area and picket up several targets. Each one of these targets was strong at one moment then losing gradually strength disappearing and then gaining strength again and so on. The whole circle lasting approximately three minutes. Would that be due to the area or due to the nature of the targets?

I still think it's the best long range metal detector: I don't have to dig for lead, steel and other junk; also with the depth function I know exactly the depth of the target even if that is mineral and unfortunately there are too many of these targets here in Europe!

Ranger: We have discovered a new frequency method that eliminates micro gold and now build it into every the Examiner and Magneto GS. We can provide some backwards compatible info for older units.

Two days ago our group went to a site (high grade of gold ore) to find a hidden box of goldbars which was hidden since 1949. With some information about the location, but the exact details where it was hidden not obvious, I scanned the area using the box or star method .The Examiner moved and I found the center, but I used only two sides of the area because the other sides are full of bushes which is very difficult to walk along. I found the center walking to and fro many times. When I was directly above the target the Examiner moved in circular motion. I used the gold frequency given and walked towards the suspected site. I determined the depth by walking. Then I measured the distance. Then we dig and bingo, at the depth measured we found not gold bars but two pocket loads of high grade ore with enough volume.After that down under that hole we found a treasure mark made of stone and it points under the bamboo tree, which is only a foot away from our hole. Then after that, one tip of information from the one who saw it was hidden, that the treasure is under the bamboo tree, which we didn't dig anymore because were received information that the landowner was angry because he was not informed about the operation. So we stopped the digging. Anyway I was happy that the Examiner works, using the box method.

Another experience,

I located a target at the backyard of a mining engineer. He has a scanner used for exploration, but he didn't know that there was target in his backyard. After I located, he use his scanner (used by mining company), and it showed. I don't know if it is a good object. No digging plan yet.

TANZANIAN GEOLOGIST APPRAISES EXAMINER ON REEF GOLD

I went to 3 areas where there are several gold deposits and active mines within a ten kilometer radius. I took the topographic sheet and made a grid of N-S and E-W lines with 1 kilometer line spacing. I used lines intersections as reading stations and scanned the area from each station, recording the direction of locks (lock-lines) on a topographic map.

In short, I took dozens of readings of lock directions from points 1 kilometer apart on a square grid pattern and plotted the lock-lines on the map, looking for convergence points which I will call Targets.

Because there were many gold concentrations (deposits) in the areas tested, I got several locks-lines from each station. When I plotted all the lock-lines on the map, I got several Targets. All known deposits were predicted in this manner by converging lock-lines from the Examiner. Anything in the range of 200.000 oz can be picked up by the Examiner from a distance of 3 to 4 kilometers depending of how open or how concealed they are from a given station.

Do you have a freq. for GLASS? It looks like the lead freq.is working in old bottles,but do you have any more precise freq.on it?They used bottles with poison(acid?) placed in small tunnels.By the way,the rainy season has stopped deep diggings,BUT I pinpointed (right on top) a layer of asphalt with the freq.(xxxx) you gave me at 5 feet ,as I had told .If I can do that ,I suppose I can as well pinpoint the AU,but I have to wait till Xmas to start serious diggings and prove my precision. Any new freq. since last year?

This unit now means if all of the tests work out, that I have a chance at possibly recovering some of my over 80 sites that I never had before and that all I have to do is work out the logistics on some of these sites or purchase the property. Hallo Ranger,

Yesterday we were on a site hunting for antique jewellery. I did not expect that the manual tuning would lead me to what I believe is a huge cache... I recovered a rusty 200 liter drum buried 3 feet under with no top cover. The bottom was eaten by rust. It's directly above the center of detection. After removing the drum I tried the rod again ..take note that the drum is standing not horizontally placed...the signal for gold is still there! But the water is just too much and the area is sandy! I still have to check this with a metal probe In my opinion someone put the drum there for reference or decoy...I did not get gold but I'm happy that the rod helped me be a better hunter.

The land owner did not place the drum there and was surprised also... I plan to invite other hunters with ground penetrating radar .... GPR ..to double check my site.... I will contact u with the result soon... wait... I have a much better project coming ..the site has a Japanese map...already tested it with the rodette and confirmed it.. we have no idea of the depth yet. It is not etched in the map...I really work hard so that I can send u a picture of a real gold bar and your cash bonus!!.

A new user has decided to conduct a test with the RT Examiner T-G and here are his findings.

March 25 2004 Rangertell test

Well here it is...

Took all three samples out into back yard. Left all samples inside the plastic shipping bags. I have a plastic and metal picnic table. Placed all three samples on table together. Set up RT and after a moment it found them at about a distance of 30 feet. I then removed a sample (the bottle flake) and put it on the porch behind a number of metal and other materials. Again RT found the two samples Removed black sand sample RT found placer sand. Took each of the two other samples to same place and tested individually from same distance. The bottle and black sand reacted about the same with the placer sand noticeably slower. Did not do walk by test, as it is late. Am taking leave tomorrow to do some things and will do the calibration tests.

Conclusions. 1. RT hits on gold, (used basic given frequency)
2 . Distance and size impact response
3. Bottle and black sand samples have about the same amount
4. The placer reaction may be being impacted by the amount of sand in the sample.
5. Material can block signal from being located, but maybe by moving one way or another will allow signal to propogate.
6. The longer the material is in a location the stronger the signal

Tried a quick and dirty test in computer room and from reaction of RT my computers have more AU than the combined samples.

Will possibly go back down south where I got the heavy hit last Sunday, weather promises to be not so good, so maybe there will be less people around. I do not need anyone helping me dig up what could 10,000 dollars in gold coin, each of which could be worth upwards of $90,000.

Not that I am selfish, but those who have the courage and conviction should not reward those who scoff.

There is a key in the instructions you press to avoid any obstructing materials. You will always find gold. Using another key for weight selection you will however not pick up unwanted micro-sized. Best of luck Mr B. Let us know how you go.

Before I used the Body Equalizer my test garden targets only gave a weak signal at best. I have two gold rings buried at three feet and haven't watered my lawn for weeks so the subsoil moisture is nil. Now with the dial turned all the way to the left (anti-clockwise) it really hits (I tried three different rods). Definitely more than twice the signal strength. I had a hard time keeping the rod from pulling there when I was searching for the fresh surface targets and this has not been the case in the past. Fresh targets on the surface do not give as noticeable increase in signal strength but there is an improvement. I also got a response with the dial set almost all the way to the right (clockwise). I don't claim to know what's going on yet, but there is a definite difference depending on where the dial is set..."

Got my NEW Rangertell 2004 EXAMINER T-G today.

Rangertell claims delivery in 5 to 7 working days on their web site. Well - I got it on the 7th working day. The package was very securely sealed and upon opening the box the Examiner itself was wrapped in bubble wrap with some additional packing materials and a CD. The CD has the instructions for the operation of the Examiner.The plastic parts look real good with NO signs of flashing, trimming, or gating all of which lends to the look of a second rate product. The exterior appearance of the Examiner is first rate.

Yes! I still have my LRL. I will be using it with my economy metal detector called the Musketeer from Minelab. I must say that your LRL is the best detector I have ever had in my area of expertise of experience with metal detectors.
